Science in a bag

Materials:

Oobleck – 4 parts cornstarch

1 part water (food coloring is optional)

This mixture acts as a liquid, but when pressure is added it turns to a solid.

Use with the book Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

Glor-ax or Flubber

Add 3 T. of water into a ziploc bag. Then add 1 T. of white glue. Now add 2 heaping T. of Borax (laundry detergent). It must be borax. Roll into a ball. If the mixture is too sticky, roll the ball in a little bit of Borax. This forms an elastic substance.
