NC Competency Goal 6: The learner will compare and integrate art forms by analyzing traditional theatre,
dance, music, visual arts, and new art forms.
Observe and reflect: The learner will attend a live
performance of The National Theatre of the Deaf (tours Asheville in February) and will analyze (in written form submitted to teacher) the following elements in the presentation of a play produced by a profession theatre company.
Traditional Theatre: Analyze the play's structure, then analyze the ability of the hearing impaired troupe to communicate the story to a hearing audience through sign language and music.
