Title – Fun Ways To Pick Teams!!

To ensure that students get a chance to be on teams with everyone in the class, cut out strips of colored construction paper and laminate them. Shuffle them up and hand them out to students. Simply instruct students with a particular colored “ribbon” to find the rest of their team. You will never have the same teams twice in a row!

If your theme in your classroom is Christmas/Winter, find pictures that fit into the theme (i.e. Christmas trees, snowmen, penguins, Santa, etc.), color them, cut them out and laminate. Use these fun and colorful “ribbons” instead of the regular construction paper strips. You can incorporate this into almost any theme (i.e. pictures of Halloween characters, planets, Easter, plants, book characters, etc). My students love this!
