This is just a game idea that can be used with many different math topics. I adapted the game show “Who wants to be a millionaire?” I use this game when students are doing work at the board (Ex: multiplication problems). Students at the board are trying to become mathematicians. If they are unable to solve their problem, they may choose one life-line from the audience to come up and help them. This is a good way to do peer tutoring without the students knowing. I usually try to use a “game show host” voice and ask the students if that is their final answer.
