Title – Put your shape in, Put your shape out

Primary Subject – Math

Secondary Subjects – Music

Grade Level – Preschool and Kindergarten

Materials:

A cut out of these shapes for every student in the class.

Circle, square, rectangle, oval and triangle

Procedure:

To the tune of the Hokey Pockey sing

Put your circle in, Put your Circle out

Put your Circle in and shake it all about.

Do the Hokey Pokey and shake it all around that’s what it’s all about!!

Second verse

Put your rectangle in….

Third verse

Put your square in…

Fourth verse

Put your oval in….

Last verse

Put your triangle in…

It really helps the kids to learn their shapes in a fun and exciting way. Plus they get some great exercise and it uses music too. Have Fun the kids love it!!!
