Problem:

Kindergarten students struggle with recognizing the numbers 10-19.

Solution:

The Teen Family

The Teen Family:

Make a family with “10″ as the dad, “11″ as the mom, and ’12″ as the baby. Numbers 13-19 are the teenagers.

Rationale:

This allows for role playing, number order and number recognition activities.

Results:

It was a great success in my classroom!
