Title – Word Wall Activities- Toss-N-Spell By – Natalie Coxwell Primary Subject – Language Arts Secondary Subjects - Grade Level – 2-4 Toss-n-Spell The teacher introduces the first word wall word. The entire class recites the word together. One student begins with the tossing object saying the first letter to spell the given word. He or she then tosses the object to another student who says the next letter. Once the last letter has been recited, the object is tossed to one last person and the word is repeated. The entire class then recites the word together. The next word is given and the game is repeated. (A foam ball or “Koosh” ball works great for this.)
