Title – Vocabulary 6 square By – Michelle Davidson Primary Subject – Language Arts Secondary Subjects - Grade Level – 1st -5th Set up- 1.Write vocabulary words for the week on index cards. 2. After words have been introduced and discussed place each word on a wall spread out around the room (visible to children) 3.Children then begin the game by standing underneath a word of their choice. 4.The teacher either says a definition, synonym, or a fill in the blank sentence using a vocab. word. 5.Children are to figure out which word corresponds and the children standing under that word sit down. 6.Continue until only one child (the winner) is left.
