Title – Calendar Poetry: Publishing Student Work

Secondary Subjects – Language Arts

Grade Level – Primary to secondary

For each month type up the best poetry of a class and place on 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper. On the corner of the page, place a group picture of the writers.

For the calendar dates page, type in a poetry writing activity or information on poets.

For the cover, work with a local artist or student artists to create a cover for the calendar.

Work with a school print shop or with a local printing company and have the pages spiral bound and run on card stock.

Give as gifts or sell as a fundraising activity.
