Students will be able to discuss the lesson behind the story and associate it with their life.

Pre-Activity Preparation:
To do this lesson, you need to check out a book from the library and tape the white paper on the board.
Transition:
Students will stay on the carpet throughout the entire lesson.
Establishing Set/Motivation/Introduction:
“Friends, who has ever heard or read this book before?”
Learning Experiences/Presentation/Procedure:

Introduction question.

Explain what the paper behind you is for (to write down the answers for the objectives).

Read the story.

Ask the kids what they think of the story.

Ask/explain the main idea.

Write the comments on the white paper.

Ask about the characters.

Write down the characteristics on the paper.

Discuss the lesson behind the story.

Write down the comments on the paper.

Review the book.
Closure:
“Did you guys enjoy the story?”
“What did you learn/what was you favorite part of the story?”
