Title – Draw Like an Egyptian

By – Kim Porter

Primary Subject – Language Arts

Secondary Subjects – Art

Grade Level – 6-12

Have your students draw a short story using the style of Ancient Egyptian wall paintings. They can make up their own symbols to mean whatever they would like. They can then paint the story with tempera paint or crayon.

The story can be of something that has happened to them, such as a holiday gathering, or an “ancient” version of their favorite TV show, book, or rap video! The possibilities are endless.
