Initial Biographies

Give each student in the class the first letter of his/her name (First Name) cut from a whole sheet of white 9″x 12″ construction paper. The letter should be a block letter about 1 1/2 inches wide. The students should use crayons, colored pencils or markers to decorate their letters by drawing pictures of things that are special to them. Display the “initial biographies” around the room. They can be displayed with or without mounting them on colored paper. Have each student tell about himself by explaining the items he/she chose to include on the initial.
