Education & Plans:

I attended high school in Jefferson City, Missouri at Helias High School. I then went to The University of Missouri, Columbia and received my first bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I continued my education at The University of Missouri and completed a second undergraduate degree in Computer Science.  I currently own and operate EdScope, L.L.C. as a way to take advantage of both degrees and offer a helpful resource to educators.

Work Experiene:

Previous employment includes programming, web development, and multimedia design for Sprint. There I worked with ASP and SQL Server to design and implement large scale database driven websites. I later developed online curriculum and multimedia content primarily for training various Sprint personnel using numerous different tools.
Prior to my employment at Sprint, I worked for The University of Missouri at The Reflector, which is the College of Education's computer lab and resource center.  I was the network administrator, assisted users with software, and managed hardware and software at the lab.
Before The Reflector, I spent 2 years at Precious Cargo Day Care in Columbia, MO where I worked as a teacher for the school-age children.  I was also responsible for building and maintaining the computers there.  I also worked as a student teacher for a 4th grade class at Fairview Elementary School in Columbia, MO.
I also have a lot of experience with computer hardware away from work.  I build high-end computers for people as a hobby, and I used to do a lot of testing and benchmarking of hardware for Your Basic Hardware Page

Awards and Honors:

I have received numerous awards for The Lesson Plans Page and I am categorized under The Gateway, Yahoo, and Google among others.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my degree in Elementary Education, and I am a member of Golden Key National Honor Society, UPE (Computer Science Honorary Society). I completed school with a GPA of 3.9 in the Computer Science degree program.

Other Information:

I am originally from Columbia, Missouri, and was born there on May 10, 1974.  I have been married to Shelley Yamnitz since July 20, 1996.  We now have a son named Conner who was born on August 28, 2003. I enjoy billiards, building computers, playing computer games, and spending time with my family and friends.
