Grade Level – 9-12

Materials: Large sheet paper. Red, yellow, blue, white and black paint. Charcoal or conte

Step 1: Draw an oval/face shape and make a flesh color paint and paint your face.

Step 2: Add details… eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and hair.

Step 3: Let dry

Step 4: Using Charcoal or conte sharply outline details. Spray with fixer or hairspray to avoid smudging. Mount on card with border of colored card.

Mogliani portraits are a good example to show simple design.
