Title – Grow St. Patrick’s Day Shamrocks

By – Mary Whiteley

Primary Subject – Science

Grade Level – K-5

Have your kids plant shamrock seeds in small paper cups. Decorate slightly larger cups to put the plant into and bring it home as a present for their family. You do not want the plants directly in the decorated cups because when you water the art / cup get ruined. Shamrock seeds come up pretty quickly, but you want to plant them in early March. The students can also have 4-leaf clover hunts in their “patch”. It is the 4-leafers that are considered good luck.
