Materials:

Several NON-TOXIC glow sticks (they are easily accessible at Halloween time, or you can purchase them from a store that sells automobile flares.

White paper

very small watercolor paint brushes.

Paper cups

Paint smocks (Chemical stains)

What the teacher needs to do: DO AHEAD

Bend and shake the glow sticks to activate the ingredients, (there is a glass tube inside containing one of the chemicals) using a razor blade remove the end of the plastic tube. Using a piece of cheese cloth strain the mixture into paper cups. Turn off the lights:

What the children need to do:

Paint!
