Activity:
Discuss how important semi trucks are for getting items from one place to another. Talk about how many of the groceries in our supermarkets such as Big Bear and Krogers comes from large semi truck to that store. There are bread trucks that just bring bread and semi trucks that bring cereal of all different kinds. Semi trucks are very important transportation for us to live the way we live. Think about if the stores did ot have milk. Yes you would live but it would make things different for you. No cereal and milk for breakfast. Semi trucks also haul animals different places. Have you ever passed a semi truck on the highway with animals in the back??? Show pictures of semi trucks to the children. Talk about how many wheels they have on them. Are they all the same color?? Read as many books as possible during the week about transportation. Try to find a book that talk about semi trucks. People also use semi trucks if they are moving from one place to another. A semi truck is able to hold many things in it in one trip.
