4.4 The learner will demonstrate an understanding of the role of the U.S. Constitution in American democracy, including the ways in which the U.S. government established by the Constitution embodies the purposes, values and principles of American democracy.
Specific Objective: The learner will Gain An oral and written understanding in an easy format of the rights in the Bill of Rights..
Materials:
Paper of rights in Twelve days of Christmas song format.
Procedures:
Procedures 1: The teacher will hand out a page with a song of the Bill of Rights. She will read the rights to her students. She will then have them sing it several times looking at the paper. Then she will have them try not to look and sing the song. The teacher can have students copy onto large paper as well.
There will be no homework.
Assessment:1- The teacher will give a weekly review quiz and a chapter test at the end of the chapter.
