Note, this idea was written by Betty Anne and improved upon by LessonPlansPage.com.

This is a good idea to use as a filler or in the morning. It gets students' creative process rolling and may turn up some great stories in the process! Start by writing a sentence in a blank book then pass it around each morning to have your students add one sentence each. You will be so surprised when you read it. You'll find that you truly do have a lot of imagination in your class.

You could also try having each student write a 3-5 sentence paragraph when you have more time. Try varying the themes as well (i.e. include a humorous book, an adventure story, and a drama) to keep all students interested.
