Title - The Do's and Don'ts of the First Day of School
By - Kari
Primary Subject - Language Arts
Grade Level - 1-3
Procedure:
On the first day of school, I read Do's and Don'ts by Todd Parr. This is a funny book that students like to listen to. Then, I have the class create their own Classroom Do's and Don'ts book with serious do's that really pertain to our classroom rules and silly don'ts. The book is then added to our classroom library and can be referenced all year.
