Title - Family Involvement-Science Discovery Days
By - Audrey Pruitt
Subject - Other
Grade Level - all
I believe that hands on science is very important and that having families help would be a great and wonderful learning experience for all involved. So I have designed Science Discovery Days. On a specific day each month we will be doing in depth science projects which will be facilitated by family volunteers. I would like families to help plan and organize these days. An informational meeting will be held during the first month of school (may be included during Curriculum Night) to see how much support we will have.
Costs: Time and donation of items for the projects.
I hope that by being involved with these science activities the families will appreciate what their child is learning as well as what all goes in to teaching.
I hope to learn from my families because everyone has something to offer.
