Title - Family Involvement-Book Bags

Since reading is a vital part of education it is important the families engage in reading types of activities with their children. To help encourage this I will be sending home a book bag with each child sometime through out the year. They will have 2-3 weeks to work on and return the bag. It will be a mini-unit and will included items such as books, games and projects. This is designed to get the entire family involved and because they will be allowed to keep the bag for several weeks, everyone should be able to complete at least some of the activities during that time.
Costs: Materials included in the bag, time
I hope that by provided the opportunity for parents to read to, with, and by their children, they both will realize the importance of reading.
I hope to learn that parents are willing to do these type activities with their children!
