Grade Level - 7-12
This lesson plan is to help students focus on the fact that they can be thankful, even for things that might be negative in their life. If clip art is available, you can dress it up as desired.
Instructions: Find ten (negative) things that you are thankful for and why. Type them in a decorative manner using a word processor. If clip art is available, insert appropriate images for each item. For example:
EVEN SO, I AM THANKFUL FOR:
.....the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.
.....the spot I find at the far side of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking.
.....the taxes I pay because it means that I am employed.
.....the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means I can hear.
