At the beginning of the school year, I save samples of the students’ work, especially a “Who Am I?” project and their first day of morning boardwork. Throughout the year, I save other special projects. At the end of the year, I cover Pringles cans with foil, decorate them, and roll all of the saved work and put it inside each students’ can. Little things from the room with their names on them – desk and locker tags, crayons with their names from job charts, learning centers, etc. are also put in their cans. I also create a simple autograph book, or “Remember When” book, for the kids, too.
