Title - Calming ADHD children

Primary Subject - Other

Grade Level - 2-4
An ADHD child is often calmed by repetitious actions. This may be as simple as erasing the Board or cleaning a table with a damp cloth. The child will clean the same spot over and over, if time allows. The most calming activity with my students has been measuring and pouring. Give the student a tub of uncooked rice or noodles and two measuring cups. The child will be calmed by the multisensory activity and will be learning spatial awareness too.
