Music: Staff Twister

Objective: To learn the names of the lines and spaces.

Materials: Masking Tape

Make a staff on the floor. I find a distance of approx. 12″ works fine for grades K-4. Several
children play at one time. I call out either right or left hand randomly and the children put their
hands or feet on the corresponding line or space. The more difficult the more fun they have!

I have used the same staff to teach and identify chords.
