This is a great song to sing at a Veteran's Day Assembly.

We sing "America, the Beautiful" and add the following words as an additional verse. Instead of singing "Oh beautiful, for spacious skies, we sing:

We want to say, "thank you" today,
to our great veterans;
Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Air Force
and the Army and Navy.

You've sacrificed, for all of us,
We can't thank you enough.
We're here today, to learn and play,
Because of all you've done.
