Title - What comes in 2's 3's and 4's

Subject - Math
Grade Level - Kindergarten
Objective: Children will be able to recognize, sort and distinguish objects in groups of 2's 3's and 4's.
Materials:
Book What comes in 2's 3's and 4's.
Mini bears for grouping or unifix cubes
Chart divided into 3 categories sets of 2' 3's and 4's
Children's book labeled on each page
Two 2
Three 3
Four 4
Procedure
A. Teacher will read story What comes in 2's 3's and 4's asking various questions to maintain interest and to check comprehension
B. After reading the story children will sort bears into groups of 2's 3's and 4's.
C. Children will then brainstorm together things that come in 2's 3's and 4's. Teacher will write them on the chart.
D. Children will make their own books drawing pictures of objects that come in 2's 3's and 4's. Teacher will tie book together with yarn.
E. If time permits allow children to share one page of their book with classmates.
