Title – Find the Four Leaf Clover

By – Kathy Rusnak

Primary Subject – Math

Secondary Subjects – Other

Grade Level – Elementary/Spec Ed

Use the school Ellison to cut out many shamrocks (Three-Leaf Clovers). It is more interesting to use scrapbook paper – for the variety. Then draw a small heart to use as a guide to create several Four-Leaf Clovers. Laminate the clovers to be able to use the shamrocks from year to year. Put all of the three and four-leaf clovers in a basket and mix them together. Ask each student to look in the basket for a four leaf clover. If your students require a visual, save one 4-leaf clover and one three leaf clover as a model. The winner – the ones who find the 4 leaf clovers, win chocolate coins from the dollar store.
