Subject(s): Math Grades(s): Grades 2-3

Title – Money/Stores

By – Nevora Siegenthaler

Subject – Math

Grade Level – Second

Materials-

-Plastic Money (A cup of money for each child)

(I use 2-half dollars, 4 quarters, 5 dimes, 5 nickels, 5 pennies.)

-Items that the students would like to have. For example, stickers, erasers, pens, pencils etc.

The teacher shows the students an item and prices it. The students count out the correct amount. The first one who raises their hand and is able to count out the correct amount of money gets to buy the item for that amount.
