Title - Greatest Common Factor Review

This lesson is intended to be used for review after students have learned about GCF. It takes about 30 minutes to complete.
- Divide the students into three groups (randomly or by your design). You may then choose to sub-divide each group, depending on your class size.
- Give each group a task card.
Task card #1: Using poster paper, write a step-by-step guide to find the GCF of 50 and 120. (Include both the example and words to describe each step.)
Task card #2: Using poster paper, show how you find the GCF of 50 and 120 using prime factorization. Do not use words--use pictures, symbols, and numbers only.
Task card #3: Act out this scene: The number 50 wants to marry the number 120. 50's mom thinks that her daughter has nothing in common with that crazy boy, number 120. They all go on Jerry Springer/Oprah/Sally to work it out. The wise Dr. Numbers will be there to help.
- Give the students 10 minutes to work on their task.
- Have students present their completed task to the class.
