After the students have learned or reviewed a lesson on how to write a letter, read Little Red Riding Hood to the students. Ask them what character they would like to write a letter to. They could write a letter to the wolf in the hospital and tell him to stop being mean and learn to be nice and friendly. Little Red Riding Hood could write a letter to the huntsmen and tell him thank you for saving her life. There are many options on what to write and to whom. The students can then share their letters with the rest of the class if they want.
