What a wonderful way to say... "You are special and I am special!" All names in the classroom are put in a hat. Each child cuts out a paper heart. Each child draws a name. (You must put your name back if you draw yours.) Now, when you see the name you have, write nice character traits about that person. Ex: Caring- friendly to all- pretty smile- helps me when I am having trouble, etc. Each child posts the heart on a bulletin board for all to see. The children LOVE reading the traits written about them. *You can do this more than once. Happy Valentine's Day!*!*!
(You could let each child write something about the other and not sign their name. The children surely want to know who wrote those nice comments about them!)
