Title - The "AND" Game
By - Dylan Wagner
Primary Subject - Language Arts
Grade Level - 3-5
This games makes you think, read, speak in front of others, and just have a good time!
It also makes a fun Valentine's Day activity.
Print 2 copies of the "AND" list at the bottom of these instructions. One for an answer sheet. The other, cut the beginning word and "and" apart, fold each, and place in a hat. Have one student draw a folded piece of paper and read the words aloud. Example - "Macaroni and ...." Have the students that think they know the answer raise their hand and the "reader student" call on one of them to answer. If they answer correctly - "...and cheese", they are the next to draw, read aloud, and choose someone to answer their "and" phrase. Play continues until all are answered. I think there are 80 sets here, but you are welcome to add your own.
