Title – Spelling Activities By – Debbie Haren Primary Subject – Language Arts Secondary Subjects - Grade Level – 2-4th Activity 1: Spelling Words The spelling words are on the board and the students put their heads down. One student erases a word and heads go up. The student calls on someone to say and spell the word that was erased. Continue with the words until all are gone. Good memory skill and practice of words. Extension: The students could also be asked to tell the definition of the word erased. Or the person who gets to pick people gets to decide what he wants the person to do. For example spell the word or give a definition or use it in a sentence. The last 3 people standing could be given a piece of candy! Activity:
