Title - Letter Investigation
By - Candace G.
Primary Subject - Language Arts
Grade Level - Kindergarten

Each week, a new letter of the alphabet will be introduced to the kindergarten class. The letter investigation will consist of:
    -booklet of the letter
-a cut out of the letter that resembles an object that begins with that specific letter. ex. lizard, the letter 'L' with 4 legs and a tail attached to the letter
-pictures and the name of things that begin with the letter
-how the letter is written in lower case and upper case, penmanship
-a book the student creates a listing and drawing of things he/she finds in the classroom that begins with that certain letter
-sharing of their letter investigation book
Each day of the week, we will work on one particular area. Students will work on their writing of the letter everyday so that they will become familiar with the letter of the week. By the end of the week, the student will share with their classmates what they found that began with that letter. This will help students in their speech, in describing and expressing what they did, and also shows if the student is understands the sound that each letter makes.
