Title - Using Adjectives
By - Zachery Street
Primary Subject - Language Arts
Grade Level - 5

Materials:
  • pictures from newspapers or magazines
  • poster paper
Procedure:
    1. Review adjectives.
    2. Show students pictures you have found.
    3. Get the students to describe the pictures with adjectives.
    4. Organize class into groups of 5 (depending on how many you have in the class). Students will look through magazines and newspapers to find pictures of different objects. Issue each group with their own sheet of A3 sized poster paper. Students will describe object and will put the adjectives on the sheet with object glued on.
    5. Then students colorfully present their poster to the rest of the class.
Length: One 45-minute period or 60-minute (in Australian Schools)
