Title – Compound word egg hunt

Primary Subject – Language Arts

Grade Level – K-2

Write each half of a compound word on each end of a plastic Easter egg. Have the eggs separated. Throw the egg halves in the grass. Have the students collect as many halves as they can. Have each pair of partners match as many compound words as they can. Write a sentence for each compound word that they correctly matched.
