This is a great idea for beginning and ending your school year. The first days of school, I take a digital photo of each student, print, and laminate each one on a sheet of white paper (labeled Fourth Grade) with construction paper backing. These I use for my back to school bulletin board. They stay in a special place all year, with new students added as they come. All year long we write and save our writing in a special notebook. At the end of the year, I write a special letter to the students, then make a bound book of writings for each student with their laminated picture as the front and a back that has been autographed and laminated. Any additions could be added to make this a wonderful memory for your students.
