Title - Beginning of the Year Interviews

This is an interactive language arts activity that serves as an ice-breaker as well.

Students partner up and interview each other using this interview form:

Hi, my name is __(interviewer's name)__, and I would like to introduce to you__(interviewee)__. __________ was born ___(date)__ in ___(city & state)__ and is ____
years old. (He/She) has ___ brother(s) and ___sister(s).

________enjoys doing many things in (his/her) spare time, but two things (he/she) likes the most are:
1._________________________________________________ and
2._________________________________________________.

Two things ___________ likes best about school are:
1._________________________________________________ and
2._________________________________________________.

(His/Her favorite subject in school is _____________ and
(his/her) goals for this school year are:
1._________________________________________________ and
2._________________________________________________.

The interviewer then introduces their partner to the class using this sheet for help if needed. He/She ends with this statement:
"I have 3 audience stumper questions about the person I interviewed to make sure you were listening...".

Each student is given an averaged grade based on voice, preparedness, and posture".
