Title - Cheer a friend!

Personal Lesson Plan

Objectives:

          1. The student will be able to create a flyer for a friend.
          2. The student will be able to use 3 different font types.
          3. The student will be able to use 3 different color of font.
          4. The student will be able to include a picture from clip art to add dimension to the flyer.

Materials:
          Computer Paper
          Word processor
          Instructions

Introduction: Have you ever had a day that you wish someone would give you a note? How about a day that you've given someone a compliment and it made you feel really great? Or did you ever see someone you'd like to cheer?

Transition: Today you will create a flyer to give to a friend, here in your class, which will encourage them all week.

Sequence of Activities: Take the instructions given and create a flyer. I will be monitoring your work, so feel free to ask any questions. (See page 2 for the instructions)

Closure: Are there 3 different fonts? 3 different colors? A picture? Great! Now pass them in to me

Assessment: Check their work, then randomly pass to the class.


Create a Flyer for a Friend Project

1. Open Microsoft Word or any other word processor application.

2. Choose Word Art, type in your salutation (Hi Friend!) and Click OK.

3. You can outline the words from the bottom of the screen, or you may have them filled in or both. It's your creation, so enjoy!

4. Next, you will click on the screen to write a short note (Have a cheerful day!J) Make sure it's a different font and font size.

5. Add a picture from clip art.

6. Sign off in a different color font and font size (A Caring Classmate)

7. Decorate to your taste and turn in to me!!
