Activity
Students will complete the activity for each of the four centers. (Instructions for each center are within the center's instructions.)
Assessment
Students will complete worksheets for each activity and turn them in for grading.

Computer Software Activity -- Instructions
TEKS/TAKS OBJECTIVE:
The student applies computer technology to specific tasks. Identify and describe the roles of computer technology. (13.(c)(2)(B))
1. In your worksheet you will find a list of software applications. Go through the list and find a definition for each part on the Internet or another resource. (Use your favorite search engine if you choose to use the Internet.)
2. After you find all the definitions, go to your computer and create the next documents:
a. Write a word processing document explaining the experience through the activity. How long did it take you to complete the activity? Which resources did you used? What part of the activity did you like the best?
b. In your Drawing program, make a picture and insert it in a word processing document. Around your picture, write a story about the picture. Your story should be at least half page long without counting the picture space.
c. Create a spreadsheet with a budget for a month. If you don't have your own budget, ask someone who does or research it.
d. Create a presentation about what you have learned in this activity. Make sure you have a minimum of 8 slides.
e. Create a database that includes every student in this class. Include the next fields: First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, and Telephone Number (including area code).
