Have students or a teacher print students’ names on different colors of construction paper in large print. Have students cut pieces of yarn and glue them onto their name. This will help students get familiar with the shape of the letters and particularly the letters that spell their name. After they are done they can trace their name with their finger over the letters. It really looks nice if they are hung up in the classroom after they are dry.
