NUMBER OF CLASS HOURS: 50 minutes (10 minutes pre-assessment, 30 minutes for project, and 10 minutes for post-assessment)
CONCEPTS: Students will learn about eggs and certain animals that hatch from eggs. They will cut out and decorate their own eggs and decide which animal they want to hatch from their egg. Students will then demonstrate their artwork for the class.

Introduction of terms. 3.) Provide cautions. 4.) Show students different examples of project. 5.) Have the students pick up their construction paper in a color that they choose. 6.) Students will color an animal that they choose (as long as this animal comes from an egg) in the open egg; they will then decorate the shell of the other egg. 7.) Cut out both eggs along the black lines. 8.) Glue the egg with the picture of the animal to the construction paper. 9.)
