Objective: To make a bunch of Valentines crafts as collage card, book mark, matching hearts game, and heart puppets.

Materials:

Matching Heart’s Game

• Wallpaper sample book
  
• Index cards
  
• Glue stick
  
• Scissors
  
• A small box to put the cards in
  
• Clear contact paper or use of a laminating machine

Heart Puppets

• Wallpaper sample book with fabric samples
  
• glue
  
• scissors
  
• craft sticks
  
• buttons
  
• macaroni

Heart Puppets Holder

• paper towel role
  
• wallpaper sample book
  
• glue
  
• scissors

Collage Card

• wallpaper sample book
  
• card stock
  
• glue
  
• scissors
  
• markers or crayons

Bookmark

• craft sticks
  
• wallpaper sample book
  
• glue
  
• scissors
  
• ribbon

You can get a wallpaper sample book from any wallpaper store and it is free. You also need a box to put all of you crafts. You can decorate it any way you want.

Procedure:

Matching Heart’s Game

1. cut out heart out of the wallpaper sample book
   
2. make sure you have two of each kind of heart you cut out so they can be matched
   
3. glue the heart to the index cards
   
4. cover them with clear contact paper
   
5. cover the box with wall paper and then you can put the cards in them

Heart Puppets

1. cut out hearts out of the fabric samples in the wall paper book
   
2. glue them to craft sticks
   
3. then decorate with buttons and macaroni
   
4. for the puppet holder just cover a paper towel role with wallpaper and cut slots to put the puppets in

Collage Card

1. cut out a lot of hearts
   
2. glue them to the card any way you want
   
3. then write want you want on the inside

Bookmark

1. cut out 2 hearts
   
2. glue it to 2 craft sticks side by side
   
3. then glue the other heart on the back side
   
4. then tie a ribbon around it.

Valentine’s Day

February 14th is Valentine’s Day.

This is a day to show people we love them.

We give red hearts made out of paper, and cards, and flowers, and candy.

How many people do you love?

Valentine’s Day is a good day to say, “I love you.”
