Subject(s): Art Grades(s): Grades PreK-1, Grades 2-3

Title – Junk Art

By – Cheri

Primary Subject – Art

Secondary Subjects – Art

Grade Level – K-3

Supplies: construction paper, paper towel roles, sticky paper, straws, plastic jar lids, paper plates, foam tubing, wallpaper book pages, cardboard, ribbon, string, (not needed but cool: puzzle pieces), and left over art scraps, ETC.

Tell the students it is Junk Art Day
and they can make anything they WANT, like a submarine, or a car, guitar, etc.

Provide them with glue (teacher does hot gluing) crayons, markers, scissors, etc.

The students have a very good imagination so they’ll have no trouble in finding something to build.

They will have a BLAST!!!

Try it…
