Title - Make a Holiday rug with your students
By - Summer Stinson
Subject - Art
Grade Level - 1 and 2
This is great art project for kids to do. It takes some one on one time, so it is better if you have an intern or lab student in your room.
Visit a carpet store and get carpet squares for all of your students.
Let your students spray paint a Christmas rug with stencils.
These turn out really cute. It should be done outside, or near an open window because of the smell. Also, make sure they wear aprons. I wore latex gloves, because I had to hold the stencil so they would not get the paint on the outside of the stencil.

Have fun!
