Primary Subject - Art
Grade Level - grades 3-6

Take a nice white sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 typing paper and trim off the edges so that it is about 7 3/4 x 10. Have the children start in the middle of the page and using a black marker, draw a free form shape. From that shape, draw others all around it until the page is filled with them. (The children can even 'hide' words in the shapes)

When the drawing of the shapes is finished, color them in with colored pencils. When they are complete, mount on pretty pastel colored paper and laminate. It is amazing how many different color combinations and designs that come out.
