Title – Father’s Day Origami Shirt Card Idea

Primary Subject – Art

Grade Level – Any age level

I make an origami shirt using a square cut from an old colorful magazine. (This is an easy-to-fold origami figure found in most origami books and on many internet sites.) On the back of the shirt, we stick a verse. Then we make a necktie out of colored construction paper. We draw, stamp or stick small stickers on the tie to create a pattern and then we glue the tie at the neckline of the shirt. You can stick this to thick paper to make a Father’s Day card too.

This is a hit every year with my class.
