OBJECTIVE: STUDENTS WILL CREATE A SPANISH LITERATURE BOOK TO BETTER UNDERSTAND STORIES TAUGHT IN AP.SPANISH LITERATURE COURSE. THE AUTHORS OF THE STORIES THEY WILL DEPICT IN A CONSTRUCTION BOOK WILL BE: FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA, GABRIEL GARCIA MARQUEZ, JORGE LUIS BORGES, ANA MARIA MATUTE AND MIGUEL DE UNAMUNO.

PROCEDURES: STUDENTS WILL REVIEW WITH TEACHER EVERY STORY. THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES WILL TAKE PLACE: SOCRATIC METHOD (QUESTION AND ANSWERS INDIVIDUALLY AND IN GROUP - ORAL AND WRITTEN PARTICIPATION WHERE STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN CREDIT FOR THEIR ANSWERS. STUDENTS WILL INPUT SYMBOLS THAT CAN BE USED IN DOING THE LITERATURE BOOK, AND MAGAZINES AND NEWSPAPERS CAN BE USED TO GET THE PICTURES FOR EVERY STORY OR INTERNET AND LIBRARY. WRITTEN TEST WILL BE GIVEN TO EVALUATE UNDERSTANDING OF THE STORIES AND COMPARISONS OF THE STORIES WITH OUR DAILY LIFE EVENTS WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH PRESENTATION AND REVIEW OF STORIES.

ASSIGNED TIME: 3 STORIES PER WEEK SHOULD BE DEPICTED IN THE CONSTRUCTION BOOK. BESIDES THE PICTURES THERE SHOULD BE STATEMENTS THAT TELL THE STORY BEING PRESENTED.

MOTIVATION: STUDENTS LOVE TO CREATE BOOKS BECAUSE ALL CHILDREN ARE VERY CREATIVE BUT THEY NEED TO BE MOTIVATED. ONLY GOOD WORK SHOULD BE ACCEPTED. EXPECTANCIES MUST BE HIGH FOR EVERY STUDENT. THEY ARE ALL INTELLIGENT BUT THEY NEED TO BE TOLD MORE OFTEN.
